Supported Transitional Housing
The Salvation Army Booth Centre's Supported Transitional Housing Program
is designed to help men over the age of 18 who have shown a pattern of homelessness
or housing instability regain control of their lives. The Booth Centre's Supported
Transitional Housing Program is a housing program that helps men over 18 within
the Niagara Region transition toward self-sufficiency. Supported Transitional
Housing (STH) is designed to provide guidance for homeless single men and assist
in promoting increased life skills, residential stability, and self-determination.
In a caring and supportive environment, residents are given the tools and encouragement
to get back on their feet and lead productive fulfilling lives enabling them
to transition back into the community.
The Supported Transitional Housing Program initially accommodates within the Booth Centre up to three men a maximum of three months. As the program develops we provide supportive services while men transition into the community. All residents of the program participate in life skill programs and other client specific goals.
